Publishing the first Book about Motion Design was very important for me. The story of Motion Design is very connected to the growth of independent studios in Los Angeles (where I was coincidentally at that time), and uses the new power of Computers and the Web to replace ‘Old Hollywood’ FX Studios with style and attitude. Oskar Fischinger is an often mentioned (very) early Hero of this Movement, a founding father of the abstract design animation.
